Over 2.6 million Duolingo users’ data has appeared on a dark web forum. The hacker accessed this information by scraping the app’s API which remains accessible since 2023, offering the data for sale at $1,500. The exposed data includes names, usernames, and emails, obtained from public profiles.

Cofense, a U.S.-based email security company, has reported a massive QR code phishing campaign targeting various industries such as manufacturing, insurance, technology, finance, and healthcare, with a particular focus on a major U.S.-based energy company.

3. Teen hacked Uber and Revolut during cyber crime spree, jury finds

An 18-year-old member of the Lapsus$ hacking group, Arion Kurtaj, has been found guilty by a UK jury for hacking Uber and Revolut and attempting to blackmail the creators of Grand Theft Auto. Working with a 17-year-old accomplice, they also targeted Nvidia and faced charges related to hacking BT (Broadband provider) and EE(Mobile operator) servers.
