1. The US lacks cybersecurity experts as the threat of Russian attacks appears, according to Jobs reports.
U.S. intelligence announces that Russia is considering cyberattacks to retaliate against the U.S. for cutting off their energy imports and imposing economic sanctions.
Top U.S. intelligence officials have been urging businesses to be on alert for months and warned that cyberattacks could be coming for American companies and critical infrastructure, saying “we are ready to support the private sector if they get hit”. In addition, FBI Director Christopher W. mentioned that “A technically trained agent can be placed at the doorstep of any organization that’s victimized within about an hour anywhere in the country”
But most companies are struggling to hire cybersecurity experts to protect them in the first place, a new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Wednesday indicates the labor shortage across all sectors isn’t improving. Professionals insist that this is where the labor shortage may become a national security issue.

2. Websites of Russian companies hit by increased hacking in March
According to a cybersecurity firm, efforts to disrupt the operations of corporate websites in Russia have surged in March, with the number of distributed denials of service (DDoS) attacks already exceeding those for the total number of times in February.
The cybersecurity arm of telecoms company, Rostelecom-Solar, said that “Large-scale cyberattacks on state authorities’ internet resources began at the end of February”, and “The main target of hackers continues to be government resources”.
DDoS attacks have increased significantly in the commercial sector. Companies especially in the banking sectors have also been heavily sanctioned by Western powers and more than 450 attacks were recorded so far.

3. The Russia-Ukraine intensifying conflict will produce unique opportunities for the global cybersecurity industry
As the Russian-Ukrainian war escalates, it seems that cybersecurity attacks are becoming a very real threat around the world. Cybersecurity is more important than ever when protecting resources and data protection and recovery across multiple networks. As more devices and computers connect to the Internet, the need for cybersecurity will increase. Gartner predicts that global demand for the cybersecurity industry will increase by 11% in 2022 and 2023, and corporate spending on cybersecurity will reach $77 billion in 2022. As cybercrime and potential threats increase, companies will invest more in new and advanced technologies.
